The arm that makes third base coaches tremble, base runners cower and those with weak hearts faint! There is only one type of cannon that compares to Austin:

The multi-color patch taken off the jersey of the man who makes Braves stop at first and shake their heads. Cause any other right fielder and it would have been a stand up double. Triple if the guys nickname is Frenchy.

When is the last time you saw a good autograph card? Not a Braves player. One that has actual value.
I saw this one:

and had to get it. It has a good overall design. The colors work well. It's kind of hard to mess up Black and White. But throw in a dash of Reds and you have an award winner. Simple. Yet effective. A large enough area for an on card signature with the players name faded. I like that. But when was the last time you saw an inscription? Besides the nickname sets I can't really remember any. And that is what makes this card not an average, shiny card. I have yet to figure out what the 27 RBI and 5 / 03 mean but it must be good if Upper Deck wanted it on there.
Don't get me wrong. I like sticker autos as well. Just not enough rom on most for the signature and something like this.

Well Sorry for such a long hiatus and I hope you enjoyed my come back! Wouldn't have gone so extreme and spent 2-3 hours on this (finding, pulling, scanning, photobucketing, blogging, phew-ing) if it weren't for Joe calling me out on having to post my boy for his accomplishment. Especially since I haven't done so already! So what I chose to do is gone through all of my non-g/u and autos and selected some of my favorite Griffey's for each year to spotlight his journey. I'm not allowed to post cards of that Seattle based team or I'd have spotlighted each year of his journey (and this is the first and last time I'll thank you for that, cause I'm beat lol). I hereby pledge to try to the best of my ability to post a card a night as often as possible.

To those who have been wondering

I have been on the road for the past few weeks to make some money. Which I hear is as good as cash according to Yogi.
The reason for this is that my former roommate, Yankee Douche Fan, decided to celebrate 4/20 by getting as high as he physically could. I got off the bus from a weekend on the road to find my apartment complex ablaze. He fell asleep while cooking and burned half the complex down. Since then I have been on the road so I can purchase a new place, pay for classes and plan a wedding. I have some posts saved and will be updating over the next few weeks as I get on a regular schedule again.
Brad and I have a weeks challenge starting Monday. After that I have four "cards" I can't believe I was able to pick up in less than a week and a half. Thanks to my wonderful little lady.
The Reds will be the cornerstone of the new collection. Aaron Harrang will be my focus. He is having a rough year this year wins wise (along with the rest of the team) and has great cards for great prices. Just take a look on ebay or sportlots and check him out.
Have a great day and keep on collecting what you like. Regardless of the crap the companies are doing these days.

I managed to pick this up at Sport Fest in Chicago by displaying George Washington and his twin brother to the dealer. I managed to talk him down fity cent from the sticker price. Just like cars, no one pays sticker price. NO ONE.
Awesome card! While not a picture of Mr. Foster smashing a homer it does display the chops as he gets ready to beat out the throw from Larry Bowa for an infield single. The Spirograph border around the photo. How many pens went through ink reserves for this border?
This card just has a great overall design. Especially the Running Man logo on the bottom. Great placement. The card just has a great feel to it.

It started as a good day

I awoke on a decent June morning feeling likeLittle did I know what was in store for me. It was another trip to Chicago as a truck driver. Just before the rains came. By the end of the day I felt like


What could cause such a transformation? I had to deliver a huge amount of adult beverage materials to this place:
Doing that makes the Chicago National League Semi-Pro baseball teams fans happy. I needed three showers to almost make the dirty feelings go away. One day they will. But not soon. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I try to cope with the fact I helped make the third most unbearable fans in MLB and most in the NL happy.
The only saving grace of this trip to Chicago was I got to go to Sport Fest. First time I have ever been to a national type card show. Only drawback was I had 2 hours to look around.

Joe and myself appreciate all the kind comments left about our M.I.A. to the site. We both, unfortunately, have little to no time to post anything at this time. Joe has experienced a serious and problematic event in his life which hinders all parts of posting on this blog (I'll let him explain as its not really my business to state such matters). As far as myself goes I've been in involved in about 200+ trades in a little under 2 months so as you can guess I'm too busy sorting and checking to be scanning and posting. I'm just about caught up and in a discussion with Joe we both plan to be posting again on the 15th when he returns from his business trip. It looks like we are going to stay on the idea of posting weekly bundles since it seemed everyone kind of dug it (i.e. - G/U week, Auto week, Vintage week, Kearns week, etc.). So from the both of us, we apologize for the long delay, but its all for the better right now. See you in a week!
